Welcome to the Chorba Intelligence Academy, an RP Guild started by yours truly, Hez. Here's a wordy rundown of how things work, how to get a uniform, how to advance, and so on and so on.
Firstly, we're an RP guild. We welcome anybody who wants to (roleplay) RP with us who's willing to play by our standards. While we're a generally casual guild, we're fairly serious about our RP and anybody disrupting said RP will be disciplined accordingly. Since almost all of our RP will be stronghold-based, your first offense will get you kicked from whichever stronghold we’re in. Your second offense will get you kicked from the guild, generally banning you from RPing with us. That being said, I’m generally forgiving and will give you a warning before you’re kicked from anything. I do, however, weigh considerably the word of my Guild Officers when making such a decision.
Next up is the uniforms. These are a mark of pride for the guild. The more uniformed members we have, the better we’ll look, both as a guild and as individuals. Unfortunately the main piece of the uniform is a level 31 chestpiece, so you’ve got some work to do, but that’s what guildies are for! OOC, getting a uniform benefits you in that it unlocks the Clandestine Officer armor set, which for a few Cartel Coins through the Collections system you can unlock for all of your characters, account-wide. There’s a very specific uniform policy detailed in this section of the forum that will explain when you should and shouldn’t wear them, and what wearing them means in terms of RP.
Finally we have ranks and advancement. When you join up with us, you decide whether you want to RP as a student (Cadet) or a teacher (Instructor) of the Academy. Neither one has any advantage or disadvantage over the other, but Instructors will be expected to teach at least one class during a ‘semester’. A ‘semester’ will consist of 10 ‘lessons’, meaning one of our weekly RP events. Currently, our RP events usually take place Wednesday evenings, between 8pm and 10pm EST, though that may change in the future. Once you’ve attended 10 lessons, you’re qualified to advance. You won't need a uniform to receive attendance credits if you're low-level, but you will need to have a uniform in order to 'graduate'. Cadets advance to Graduates, and Instructors advanced to Tenured. At this point you’ll be gifted a crafted headset, get more Guild Bank access and become eligible to be a Guild Officer.
If you’ve read all this and still think it’s the place for you, welcome aboard! We look forward to creating an enjoyable RP experience for everyone.
