Lesson 0105: Midterm Review and Attendance Policy
And thus the introduction of the Attendance Policy. Once I've actually typed that out, this sentence won't exist and the bold worlds in the previous sentence will instead be a link to the actual post, which is going elsewhere on the site. Pretty existential, huh?
Anyway this is my way to try to encourage fun and participation in our Guild RP. The lectures will normally not take up the full 2 hour slot, and will hopefully start to segue into the actual plots we're working on. Participation = higher guild rank = better perks and the possibility for an Officer spot. The extra attendance credit went to anybody who had already posted their backstory on the site. I might retroactively grant that same reward again, just depends on how things play out.
Now I'm not sure whether or not this paragraph will exist in the future, but since I haven't written up a formal version of it yet, here's a TL;DR version of the attendance policy:
Lastly, as far as the midterm review goes, the only thing that Nazzu couldn't cover in such a limited time period was the Chiss RP lesson, Lesson 2. That's a long one and only applies to some characters, so as I've said before, if you have any questions not covered in the archive, ask me.
My apologies for missing class for this lecture, especially given the subject of the latter half. I was on a supply run in the Outer Rim, which I will on occasion have to do in order for us to continue operating and expanding. In any case, I'm told by Nazzu that the lesson went generally well, even if it had a bit of a late start.
I'll skip being redundant and not re-review the lessons reviewed this day. If you missed any of the previous classes, simply hit the 'back' button on your holonet browser and read over Lessons 1-4. Reading 'Lesson 0' wouldn't hurt, either.
Now, onto the subject of missing class. I emphasized the importance of this particular lecture without giving away my hidden incentive. Many have asked how exactly one graduates from the Academy, or how faculty solidify their place within the organization. The answer is our Attendance Policy. From now on I'll be taking attendance at these lectures. Those who attend and are patient enough not to be disruptive or leave during class will receive an attendance credit. 10 credits and you advance. It's as simple as that.
Advancement within the Academy has many obvious advantages. And just as a special treat, those who attended this particular lecture received 5 bonus attendance credits instantly. We also distributed extra credit for any students who have been more active on this holonet site.
That's all for now. I hope to see more of you at our next lecture--and I have a feeling that after some of you read this, I just may. To arrange a make-up if it's absolutely impossible for you to make a class, speak with myself, Nazzu, or Noemie, our Evening Class Instructor.

- Show up to our scheduled RPs whenever you possibly can. They're currently set to 8PM-10PM EST on Wednesdays, though that may change in the future.
- Stay the whole time. Don't disrupt class (spamming emotes or ( ) in say), don't take WZ pops, don't leave for any reason other than IRL stuff.
- Show up in Uniform if you have one (the only time you're actually required to wear it) and give your full attention and respect to the person teaching the class/running the RP, even if it's not me.
